What is CKI?
Capital District CKI is part of Circle K International, one of the largest international collegiate service organizations. The Capital District consists of over 200 members and chapters spanning Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. We are proud to be student-led and service as the collegiate branch of Kiwanis International.

CKI Tenets
CKI is committed to empowering members and providing great experiences focused on the tenents of Service, Leadership, and Fellowship.
Service: Service is at the heat of everything we do. Across the district, our members are conduct service projects and fundraisers on campus, with a focusing on partnering with Kiwanis, Key Club, and other branches of the Kiwanis Family. We also lead service projects at our annual District Convention and provide resources on planning service events. We are proud to support CKI’s service partners: Active Minds, Nature Conservancy, and UNICEF USA.
Leadership: CKI is student-led, and students have leadership opportunities at the club, district, and international level. Through these roles, students learn a variety of skills including event planning, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, adaptability, and more. Students can also be recognized for their accomplishments through scholarships as well as district and international awards. The Capital District holds an annual Spring Officer Training Conference and virutal training throughout the year to help club leaders build skills and confidence to lead.
Fellowship: CKI is all about building a community of servant leaders and helping everyone find a place where they feel welcome. Members have opportunities to participate in club socials, networking and mentorship with their sponsoring Kiwanis club, and meet CKI members from across the district and the world at annual conferences and conventions.
